![]() But, it's a great game that is still waiting for a proper revision. I mean, there are only like 2 zoom levels. They are almost identical in look, interface, gameplay, everything. Summary: The Operational Art of War IV is the new generation of operational wargames. Look at screen shots of the original game and then look at IV. The base game, TOAW, was good in it's time, but for the devs to basically take that game, which is 20 years old, and just re-work the code into ToaW IV is really sad. To be absolutely honest, this type of development is totally unacceptable in our day and age. But, the game did allow me to change the directory from the C: drive folder to the D: drive game folder. For w/e reason, the game was still loading scenarios from the empty scenarios folders, which maybe were just place holders and maybe Windows registry was pointing the game from those folders on the C: drive that were empty to the folders on the D: drive. So, then I checked the install folder on my D: drive and the scenarios were in those folders. I’m not aware of many games with this kind of scope, but TOAW IV is hyper-focused on powering these operational-level scenarios. ![]() ![]() When I invaded Grenada, the forces of Hudson Austin were not so lucky. \Scenarios folder as where the scenarios were, but when I checked that folder, there were folders for the different era scenarios, but the folders were empty. The Cuban and Soviet player won’t hold off the Americans completely, but a skilled player could bog the invaders down in the Sierra Maestra. So, I just checked and the game was pointing to the C:\Users\. ![]()
